The association Russian Voice for Latvia is a democratic, pro-European,
and anti-Kremlin non-profit organization of Russian-speaking residents of Latvia, aimed at strengthening resilience and cohesion within Latvia's society, countering disinformation and Kremlin influence in Latvia’s Russian-language information space, as well as promoting the values of democracy, freedom, and human rights.

Our activities
Our organization is engaged in fostering social cohesion in Latvia, improving relations between communities, promoting democratic values, and combating propaganda in Latvia's information space on Russian language. Among our activities are media projects, consultations, panel discussions, working groups, public events, rallies, and protests.
Media projects
We are actively involved in the media space — through our TikTok channel, we promote the spread of ideas about democracy and human rights in Russian in Latvia, as well as encourage public discussions and improve relations between communities.
Discussions and events
Both within the framework of the Conversation Festival LAMPA and in our own formats, we organize panel discussions and other events aimed at exchanging opinions, fostering social cohesion in Latvia, and addressing current issues.
Public actions, rallies, and protests
Our history began with a large rally of Latvia’s Russian-speaking residents against the war in Ukraine. Since then, we have regularly expressed our position publicly through protests and rallies. Every year, we participate in the Riga Pride march, and we are also the organizers of the reading of the names of people repressed by the Soviet regime in Latvia.
Media projects
On our TikTok account, we publish interviews with prominent representatives of the Latvian and Russian-speaking communities in Latvia, members of Latvian NGOs, and produce reports from socially significant events. This helps Latvians from different backgrounds understand each other better, raises awareness about institutions and civic participation, counters division, and combats Kremlin-spread disinformation.
We also organised a teleconference between the residents of the sister cities Kharkiv and Daugavpils.
Humanitarian projects
In collaboration with other Latvian NGOs, we organised a collection of humanitarian aid for Ukrainian residents affected by Russian aggression.
Panel discussions
We participate annually in the LAMPA Conversation Festival, organising our own panel discussions on important topics featuring prominent representatives from the government, NGOs, and the media.
Lectures
In collaboration with other NGOs, we organise lectures on socially important topics.
Regional events
We organise events, lectures, and discussions—both independently and in collaboration with local NGOs—including in Latvian regions such as Daugavpils, Rezekne, Jelgava, Liepaja, and others.
Protest rallies
Protest rallies against Russian aggression in Ukraine, Kremlin influence in Latvia, and the dictatorial regime of Vladimir Putin.
Riga Pride
We participate in the annual Riga Pride march, expressing our commitment to the values of inclusivity, tolerance, personal freedom, and self-expression.
Returning the names
We are the organiser of the annual international event “Returning the Names” in Riga— a reading of the names of victims of Soviet repressions, initiated by the Memorial Society founded by Academician Sakharov.
